Brampford Speke

Baptist ChapelBrampford Speke Baptist Chapel

As well as our church in South Street, Exeter, we also have a small congregation meeting at the Baptist Chapel in Brampford Speke. This beautiful Devon village is just north of Exeter off the A377 Crediton road, only a ten minute drive from Exeter.

The services here are more informal and suit anyone wanting a smaller or more interactive service. The fellowship is warm and welcoming; we love to welcome visitors.

Services

Services are held on the Ist, 3rd and 5th Sundays of each month at 3 pm. The service on the 3rd Sunday includes communion. Services last about an hour and we have tea and cake afterwards.

Bible Study

A Bible study is held normally on the 2nd Thursday of each month starting at 7pm, but this can vary so check our church diary or contact Simon (see below).

Accessibility

The chapel is all on one level with no steps so is suitable for wheelchairs or walkers. We have large print hymn books available. The chapel is quite cosy and services are held in a circle so hearing is not usually an issue. However, although we do not have a loop system, there is a sound system we can use when needed. There is a toilet with no steps to access it - the toilet is not large anough to accommodate for wheelchairs.

Contact us

Our minister, Simon, looks after the Chapel. If you want to know more about our services and activities here then please contact him by email or ring 01392 423011.

Hire the Chapel

The chapel is available for hire on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays by community groups or by churches for quiet days or awaydays. It seats 25, has projection facilities, a small kitchen and a toilet. Please contact Simon as above.
