Mission

Over 30 years ago, the Church bought an old wine warehouse adjoining the church, and created the Palace Gate Centre.  The Centre provides a versatile suite of rooms, that are used intensively by a wide range of community organisations, as well as by the Church.  It has attractive basement rooms, two large halls, lounges and several office suites. A lift between the ground and first floor provides access for disabled people. There are excellent kitchen facilities.

Perhaps as many as a thousand individual people come into the Centre in a normal week. We are encouraged that the community around us sees the Centre as "a haven for the vulnerable".

A prayer leaflet is available from office@ssbcexeter.co.uk - we encourage prayer for each organisation that uses the premises and for those who attend them. Users of the Centre have an open invitation to worship with us at any time, and especially at significant times in the Christian calendar.

New users of the Centre are always welcome - our Centre Coordinator, will be pleased to respond to enquiries -at  office@ssbcexeter.co.uk or on 01392 279485

Our Church is the current venue for the annual Devon Performing Arts Festival held in March - it is part of our Mission to open our doors in welcome at every opportunity.
