Open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10.30 am to 2 pm in our Lower Hall
In March 2015, a new community cafe opened in South Street, which offers an affordable place for local people to meet and eat. Where possible, we use fairly-traded products such as tea and sugar, and seek to support local traders, for instance the pasties we serve on Thursdays are made locally.
Free drinks 10.30am to 12 noon
Lunches served 12 to 1.45 pm
Good food, freshly prepared
Friendly and welcoming
Play area for children
Our Centre chaplains are usually at Dove Cafe and are happy to listen and chat to those who come along. Each week on either Tuesday or Thursday they offer Dove Prayer in the church for those who wish to attend; this is a simple midweek service that anyone is welcome to come along to for however long they can stay. The Church Diary tells you when it is on each week.
You can get to Dove Cafe off South Street or through the Palace Gate Centre.
We run Dove Cafe with support from the Devon Partnership NHS Trust, which provides mental health care across Devon. Working with the NHS Partnership the cafe provides voluntary employment opportunities to men recovering from mental health problems as part of their recovery programme.
