Toddlers
The Palace Gate Toddler Group is run by South Street Baptist Church and meets each Thursday during school term time in the Palace Gate Centre. The Group offers parents, carers and their pre-school children time and space to chat together and have fun. We start around 1.00 pm and run until 3 pm. Our aim is to help you meet other parents, share in activities with your child and give children an opportunity to begin to interact with each other through play.
How do you find us?
We always meet upstairs in the Palace Gate Centre - the entrance is on Palace Gate through the large green doors opposite the Chinese buffet restaurant.
What goes on?
Each session will vary but a typical one might look like this:
1.00 pm Free play. Drinks available
2 pm Craft activity begins
2.30 pm Snack time - we can cater for special diets
2.40 pm Song or storytime
3 pm Finish
Occasionally, we will have simple cooking sessions, longer music sessions or play parachute games. We like to have a party now and then too!
What do we have?
We have a lovely big space in the Palace Gate Centre and a large selection of toys and books. There are bikes and cars for the children to ride on and a playhouse to hide in. We have puzzles, jigsaws and playdough most weeks. We also have lots of toys for younger children, too.
What does it cost?
We make a charge of £1 per family per week to help cover some of our costs.
What are this term’s dates?
This term we will run from Thursday 13th September to Thursday 13th December.
